For the symbols and numbers try changing the font, the current font may not support numbers.

That’s superb. I’m not great with AE, but if I get a client in who wants one of your templates, if I pay you for it and just edit the text/pictures, can I pass the cost onto him, or would you rather the client came to you direct? Even if I created the rest of the video?

Sure, all projects are made in CS3 this way you can use them in all After Effects versions that are CS3 or newer than CS3 , like CS4 or CS5)
