Google Ads will now create your video ads with AI

Google just folded its Veo 3 video model directly into Google Ads. Upload a product image to Asset Studio, and the platform spits out 10-second video ads ready for YouTube Shorts, Discover, and Gmail. They also rolled out YouTube Creator Partnerships (Brand Connect), powered by Gemini, to scale influencer campaigns.

For small businesses with no video production budget, this looks like a miracle. It's also a trap. Let me explain.

Three updates in the same release:

All three are aimed at one thing: lowering the barrier to running paid video on Google's network.

The exciting part for small businesses
