How to Make a Book Trailer With AI (From Your Amazon Link)
A book trailer used to be something you paid a freelancer for. This one starts with nothing but an Amazon link.
The book in this tutorial is Mills Way to Richer Living, a guide by a Minnesota life coach that uses NLP techniques to help readers clear out limiting beliefs. I never typed any of that. The AI read it off the Amazon listing.
Step 1: paste your Amazon link
Open the Phantom Ad Maker inside the AI Media Machine and paste the Amazon link of your book.
It recognizes straight away that this is an Amazon product, and it goes and takes the images and the relevant text from the listing. There's a spot to upload extra images if you want, but I left it to the AI.
Step 2: pick a style
There are several. The hand-drawn whiteboard style is there, and so is a news studio with an anchor. I picked the news studio for the first one.
Step 3: the rest of the options
I asked for a tall video so it works on TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, kept the voice-over and the music on, and let the AI decide what text appears on screen.
Then make the video.
What it does while you wait
It reads the Amazon listing, the description text and the images, works out what the ad should be about, and writes a script. You get the script before the video exists.
Mine opened like this:
Good evening. Are hidden beliefs keeping you from the happy, stress-free life you deserve?
I could have changed a word or a phrase, but I liked it as written, so I approved it and let it build.
The news studio trailer
A couple of minutes later:

Download it, post it, and the book is in front of people who were never going to find it by browsing.
Step 4: a second trailer, different style
Why have one angle when you can have several? I downloaded the first video, clicked make a new video ad, pasted the same Amazon link, and this time picked the hand-drawn style.
It wrote a fresh script rather than reusing the first one. You can keep the old script or paste your own if you prefer, but I like putting the robot to work:
Are you feeling stressed and held back from the life you really want? It is time to live your dreams with Mills Way to Richer Living. Same book, different angle, and now there are two ads to run.
Fixing the wrong book in her hand
There was one mistake. The presenter was holding a book, but not this book.
So I saved the real cover image from the Amazon listing, then typed what I wanted and attached that image: I want the correct book to appear in the hand of the presenter at the beginning, and I'm attaching the image of the book.
It probably would have understood without the attachment, but I'd rather be explicit about something this specific.
Then it asked a question I want to explain, because it looks confusing the first time. It asked whether I wanted a new person on camera, and noted that a presenter costs 30 credits more. I liked this presenter and only wanted the book changed, so why click yes to a new presenter?
Because of how the work splits. Changing a section inside the video is the cheap, easy job. Regenerating an entire shot that has a presenter in it is the complex one, and that's what putting a different book in her hand needs. So it asks first instead of quietly charging you. You can also upload a photo of yourself or someone else here and become the presenter.
A couple of minutes later the right book was in her hand and she was the same woman as before.
That's the thing to take away. The AI will get something wrong sometimes, and the fix is a sentence, not a reshoot.
Not just books
The same box takes your own website. If you're a real estate agent you can paste a Zillow or Realtor.com listing in there and it reads that too.
What else is in there
While I was on the page: there's an AI avatar maker with over 200 avatars, and you can make your own by typing a description or uploading a photo, so the avatar speaks for you if you don't want to record yourself. There's a thumbnail maker for YouTube, a music maker for separate tracks (the Phantom Ad Maker already picks music for your ads), and a tool that clones an ad, so if a competitor made a good one you can keep its structure and put your product in it.
Try it with your book
Paste your Amazon link into the Phantom Ad Maker inside the AI Media Machine, or get a free video ad made from your own site first so you can see the output before you buy anything. If you'd rather have my team make the videos, book a free strategy call.
